DESIGN DRAFTSPERSON/CAD TECHNICIAN

If you’re looking for a new opportunity to use your skills for a small engineering consulting firm, this position will appeal. Our client is seeking a skilled CAD Technician, who will be responsible for creating technical drawings to communicate concepts and detailed designs using computer-aided (CAD) software for the following:

· Structural steel framing and miscellaneous metals

· Concrete structures

· Mechanical components

· Pressure vessels and piping

The successful candidate will need to be able to interpret architectural and structural drawings to identify and implement design requirements. This position will require regular coordination and effective communication with other design professionals.

Experience

· Minimum 10 years 2D drafting with Autocad

· Experience with structural steel fabrication and framing

· Experience with tanks, pressure vessels and piping

Qualifications

· Excellent oral and written communication in English

· Good organization skills

· Diploma in computer aided design and drafting

· Experience in 3D modeling is considered an asset
